Working closely alongside HomeSmiths Ltd, John F White Cabinetmakers Ltd were proud to manufacture a bespoke collection of furniture for the St Monica Trust Russets home, bringing together traditional styling with practical modern living. Manufactured to HomeSmiths’ detailed designs, the project included one feature TV fireplace bookcase and two matching linen cupboards, all carefully produced in our Warwickshire workshop using high-quality materials and precision craftsmanship.
The centrepiece of the project was a large TV fireplace bookcase, designed to create a warm and homely focal point within the room. Finished in Kronospan Gold Harbour Oak, the unit combined open illuminated shelving, integrated storage cupboards and a recessed electric fireplace, creating a furniture piece that feels both elegant and welcoming. Traditional detailing including moulded cornices, skirting profiles and oak knobs helped give the furniture a timeless appearance while concealed LED lighting added a softer contemporary touch.
Alongside the feature unit, we also manufactured two bespoke linen cupboards to complement the scheme. Designed with practicality in mind, the cupboards provided generous internal storage while maintaining the same warm oak finish and traditional styling throughout. The use of laminated MDF doors, quality Hafele hardware and carefully proportioned detailing ensured the furniture was robust enough for everyday use while still delivering a high-end residential appearance.
