A Recent Project by JFW Ltd for Safran Landing Systems

At John F. White Ltd Cabinetmakers, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional craftsmanship for every project. Our recent collaboration with EG Carter Ltd, the main contractor, and Safran Landing Systems, the client, highlights our commitment to quality and precision in bespoke cabinetry.

For this project, we manufactured three bespoke kitchen shelf units spread over three floors, designed by Roberts Limbrick Architects specifically to meet the client’s needs. Each unit was crafted from 25mm laminated MDF, offering durability and a sleek, modern finish. To ensure longevity and a flawless look, the units were finished with 2mm ABS edging, providing a smooth, clean edge resistant to wear and tear.

One of the standout features of this project was the integration of recessed LED strip lighting within the shelf units. This subtle yet sophisticated design element not only enhanced the aesthetic appeal of the units but also provided practical, energy-efficient illumination. The LED strips were recessed into the structure of the shelves, creating a sleek, modern look while offering ambient lighting that’s perfect for a contemporary kitchen environment.

Once installed on-site, our team worked closely with the client and contractor to complete the final touch: tiling in-between the shelves. This additional detail further refined the overall design, ensuring the units seamlessly integrated into the space.
