We were tasked with designing, manufacturing, and installing a nurse base counter that would not only meet the practical needs of the hospital staff but also enhance the working environment with its design.
The centerpiece of our creation is a stylishly curved DDA-compliant section, which ensures accessibility for all users while maintaining a sleek and modern look. This feature is particularly important in a healthcare setting, where inclusivity and patient care are paramount. The curvature of the desk also serves to invite interaction and facilitate communication among the staff, promoting a more collaborative workspace.
Understanding the demands of a busy hospital ward, we incorporated ample space for a ward staff member to work comfortably and efficiently. The ergonomic considerations of pigeon holes in the design allow for a seamless integration of technology and paperwork, ensuring that everything the staff needs is within easy reach.
To further enhance the functionality of the nurse base counter, we included storage units at the back. These units are designed to be easily accessible, yet unobtrusive, providing ample space for storage without cluttering the work area. The choice of materials and finishes for the storage units was made with durability and infection control in mind, essential qualities for any piece of furniture within a healthcare facility.
The installation process was carried out with minimal disruption to the hospital’s operations.
