Reflecting on a Busy Summer at JFW Cabinet Ltd

Hello everyone, thank you for checking in again for the blog, I’d like to reflect on the summer we’ve had here at JFW Ltd. Let’s face it the weather has been nothing short of atrocious this yeah (like last year) so thankfully we haven’t really had much distraction.

Last year was a challenge, it really tested us with the size and volume of the projects we had to complete, the team went above and beyond to meet the deadlines and deliver the top quality product that our customers have come to expect. So this showed me what we were capable of, so when we had 2 care homes full of furniture and 5 hospital wards that needed nurse bases manufacturing and installing I was confident we could achieve it.

We were also faced with challenges along the way. Summer is holiday time, and if you know me you know how highly I value them so I fully support everyone taking some well-deserved time off, however during this time we experienced a broken ankle and a broken toe (on feet belonging to separate guys) and a bad back, so at one stage the pressure was on  3 of the guys to keep up with the commitments we had made. A huge thanks goes to them, they pulled it out of the bag.

Once back to full capacity the team steamed ahead producing all that needed to be done which lead to a storage conundrum. We had both vans full. Every nook and cranny taken up with furniture ready to fit, even our filing room was stacked to the rafters with fireplaces and TV’s (If you’re a burglar reading this, they aren’t there anymore).

Eventually the sites became ready to receive the various item’s and we spent September installing it all, making the workshop very bare, in a good way obviously…. It gave the team a chance to have a good tidy up ready for the next string of projects.

Autumn is looking a little steadier than summer has been, but anything would look steady after the summer we have had, I’m busy pricing some large projects for next year and working on some more immediate projects also, I’ll be heading down to Great Yarmouth in the coming weeks to site survey for the next Luxury Care Home for Kingsley Healthcare and Danny is working with Ben’s Cookies to deliver some store refits which will all be happening in the new year.

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank the team here at JFW Ltd for working so hard to achieve all that we have and also express my gratitude to our customers for their continued support over the summer, it’s been a wild ride and we’ve loved it!

I’d really like to hear about your own summer experiences and/or drop us a comment on the various social platforms, or if you require any kind of bespoke fitted or freestanding furniture please get in touch!

Have a great weekend.

Adam.
