Happy Friday everyone! It’s been another packed week at JFW Ltd, predominantly we have been working on the furniture for Holt care home way out east in Norfolk, it’s a mammoth task for us, I’d list the items of furniture we have to do but I don’t think WordPress allow me the words….. So I’ll just tell (and show) you all what we’re currently getting up to.
Danny and Owen are working on the three TV bookcases, one per floor, floor to ceiling with integrated lights, built-in fire and a very large space for a TV. These guys are the bookcase kings and are flying!
The Experience Room wall has been Lee’s task for the last week or so, this unit fits in an alcove and will have a piece of artwork mounted above the fire. Like the unit shown above it features a design of a back lit shelf which creates an awesome effect. Hats off to David Smith of Homesmiths for that one.
All the furniture is designed by HomeSmiths Ltd, They design the furniture, present it to the client and then we build and fit it. That’s the relationship we’ve enjoyed for the last few years and long may it continue.
Dexter is all on his own up on the first floor of unit 6, (I think that’s how he likes it) He has been building the three Nurse Base Desks, all three are the same, curved laminated fronts with laminated tops. He seems to be enjoying himself which is a good job as his next part of the project is another curved unit. You will love that one – more to come…..
Josh and Charlie are on the salon furniture, Josh is building a dividing screen which will separate the salon and the treatment room whilst Charlie works on the nail bar unit, a cool piece of furniture which will suround the existing window.
We also managed to squeeze a trip into Worthing to install the final phase of Berkeley Lodge. With this one being done over 5 phases it hasn’t seemed that big but walking around the building looking at all the furniture we have supplied it is clear to see it has been another huge job! Thanks again goes to the wonderful people at HomeSmiths Ltd.
Whilst the lads in the workshop have been busting it down there I’ve been busy producing drawings for the next stages, pricing plenty of upcoming jobs and trying to figure out a solution to our storage requirements.
Currently we have a whole Ben’s Cookie shop, four Hospital nurse bases (two are very large) a school reception desk and two of the already completed units for Holt. But you know what they say about space, you always manage to fill it!
