This bespoke gaming table was designed and crafted to deliver total functionality within a compact living space, without compromising on style. Positioned within a bay window, the brief was to create a table that could remain neatly tucked away for everyday use… Yet transform effortlessly into a full-sized gaming surface when required. The solution was a cleverly engineered drop-leaf design, allowing the table to sit compactly into the bay window area before expanding to a generous 6ft x 4ft playing surface. This provides ample space for board games, cards, and Warhammer type games, all while maintaining a clean and unobtrusive footprint when not in use. Mobility was a key consideration. The table is mounted on four heavy-duty locking castors, enabling it to be moved with ease and securely fixed in position once in place. This flexibility ensures the table can adapt to the room as needed, whether for entertaining or everyday living. Internally, the cabinet features bifold doors in front of adjustable shelves, offering practical storage for games and accessories while maintaining a refined exterior appearance. High-quality hardware, including folding table hinges and precision joinery, ensures smooth operation and long-term durability. Crafted using mahogany veneered MDF with solid mahogany mouldings, the table was finished with a stain and lacquer carefully selected to complement the client’s existing furniture. Traditional detailing, including decorative handles, ties the piece seamlessly into the room’s established aesthetic.
